Viva passed!
So the viva took place on 16th July at King's College. My examiners, Profs Simon McVeigh and Simon Keefe., were frankly much tougher than I had anticipated. It was a fairly gruelling hour and 45 minutes, but I have to admit that the comments were well put and will lead to improvements to the dissertation. It is rare to have the benefit of such a detailed discussion on your work with commentators of that calibre, so I am very grateful for that. I should receive the suggested (minor) amendments fairly soon, and will then have three months to put them through. I'm still processing the whole thing and will write more in a week or so, once I have reviewed my notes and collected the thoughts of my supervisors. Just very happy that I have passed the viva.
