I'm very pleased to say that I submitted my dissertation on Easter Day.
Well, it's been a while. Since my last post, I attended the annual meeting of the American Musicological Society in Chicago in November, and have been furiously writing to finish up on the dissertation. I'm pleased to say that the dissertation was submitted on 20th April, and now I feel a strange combination of relief and emptiness . I've been told that finishing is a little like a bereavement. If that's so, I will have just under three months of mourning- the viva is set for mid-July. Guess I'll have to find a few other things to do in the meantime...
